Where Trisutto Makes Champions
Winter Training, Australia.
It's time to get down to business. We've announced our first few races of the season. So, what are they? Check them out.
It’s been almost five weeks since I am training with the Trisutto crew here in Coolum, Australia!
It was hot, it was humid and it was hard! That sums up those couple of weeks ;) I would lie if I’d tell you that I enjoyed every single day here in AUS! But most of it was really fun and very important for me to focus on my goals.
I had to work very hard every day to satisfy the boss Brett Sutton and his assistant Robbie Haywood.
I usually got up before 6am, then went for a hard swim, bike or run. Got coffee and breakfast at “The Caf”, straight after that I fell into a 20min power nap and around 11am I was back in shape to tackle the next session.
At 2pm the next powernap with a small lunch and around 5pm the last easy run or maybe even a 2nd hard run around the park
Almost every evening, I called it a day in a definitive positive way by chattering with my girlfriend on the phone, and with a big smile on my face I usually got ready for bed around 9pm. Talking to her has become my new Netflix ;)
Yes, a lot has changed! Many of you that know me well might say boooring! But this change of scenery has been great. I still enjoy a beer or two or more sometimes, but I am putting a lot of work into my triathlon training and I am so motivated!
Next week will be a first test for me at the ITU world cup in Mooloolaba.
We will see if my body has recovered from that tough weekend I hardly survived…I can tell you it was horrible, but I heard that’s how champions are made ;)
